Insurance
I do not take insurance, and thus am considered an “out-of-network
provider” for PPO health insurance plans.
Many PPO plans do provide some reimbursement for mental health services
provided by an out-of-network psychiatrist, so you may be able to receive
back a substantial portion of my fees from your insurance company, depending
on your specific plan.
If you plan to use your insurance benefits, I will provide you with a
standard receipt that can be submitted to your insurance company.
If insurance reimbursement is an important issue for you, I recommend that
you contact your insurance provider to inquire about your out-of-network
mental health benefits.
General Fees and Forms of Payment Accepted
My fee for an initial consultation, which is usually one-hour in length,
is $600, and is due at the time of service by credit card only.
Follow-up appointments that focus on medication management issues
are typically 30 minutes in length, and the fee for each of
these appointments is $300.
Follow-up appointments for psychotherapy, with or without
medication management, are typically 45 minutes in length, and the
fee for each of these appointments is $340.
Payments for follow-up appointments can be made by check or credit
card, and are due at the time of service.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations need to be made 48 business-hours in advance of a
scheduled appointment time in order to avoid being charged for the
appointment.
The fee for a missed appointment would be equal to the fee of the scheduled
appointment. Please be aware that insurance companies usually do not
reimburse people for missed appointments.
